This region, known for its world-class outcrops and distinct geological formations, is emerging as a geotourism hub. The Middle East, with its easy-to-reach places, good facilities, friendly locals, and nice winter weather, is a great spot for geotourism, helping to improve its environment, heritage, culture, and the well-being of its residents.

Furthermore, the session will explore the educational aspect of geotourism, examining how it can serve as a powerful tool to raise public awareness about earth sciences, geology, and environmental conservation. It will also address the critical balance between protecting significant geological outcrops and promoting tourist access, posing the question of how to responsibly manage geotourism in the region towards achieving responsible geotourism.
